Billing for your toy shop in Haryana
Bats beside dolls, a toy tractor bought in two visits, and the rakhi week, on one phone.

Bats beside dolls, a tractor in two visits and the rakhi week rush
Bats, balls and skipping ropes sit beside the dolls and the cars
In a state where many children are sent to the ground and the akhara, a toy shop sells more than toys. Cricket bats, footballs, skipping ropes and boxing gloves share the shelf with dolls and cars. The toys sell in the gift weeks, the sports goods all year, and the notebook has one list for both, so you cannot say which half of the shop pays the rent. The bats are bought in a size for each age, and the large ones sit for a season while the small ones go.
The toy tractor comes home first, and the trolley a month later
A farm family's son wants a toy tractor, and it is bought. The trolley, the plough and the little driver are bought one at a time over the next months, when there is money or the boy has been good. A month on, the father cannot remember which tractor it was, and the shop cannot find the earlier bill.
Rakhi week: a rakhi for the big brother and a toy for the small one
In the rainy weeks before Raksha Bandhan, sisters come in for a rakhi, and a small toy for the little brother goes into the bag with it. For a few days the counter is crowded with children and sisters, the rakhi boxes empty fast, and the bills are a pile of small amounts that nobody adds up until the week is over.

What a Haryana toy and sports shop uses
Bills on your phone
A doll, a bat and a pair of boxing gloves on one bill, each at its own rate and unit.
Credit book (khata)
A page for the family that buys the tractor now and the trolley later, every visit dated.
Low stock warnings
A warning that the rakhi boxes are nearly gone in the week before Raksha Bandhan.
Daily reports
The gift weeks beside the quiet days between them, day by day, with the sports goods level through both.
Two shelves, one bill: toys and sports goods in a Haryana shop
Bats and gloves counted beside the dolls, each in its own unit
Keep the sports goods as items with their own units: the gloves in pairs, the skipping ropes by the piece, the bats by size. One bill can carry a doll, a bat and a rope, and the report shows how much each kind sold, so you see which half of the shop carries the other.
The tractor on one visit and the trolley on the next, under the family's name
Put each visit on the family's page with its date. When the father comes back for the trolley, you open the page and see which tractor he took and when, and the second bill goes under the same name.
Rakhi week counted before the boxes run out
Keep the rakhi boxes and the small gift toys as items with their counts, and set a low-stock mark on the rakhis. In the week before Raksha Bandhan you see at noon which boxes are nearly gone, and ask for more while the wholesaler still has them.

Faridabad's workshops and Sonipat's Kundli: the families a toy shop knows
A toy shop meets the families of whatever town it stands in. Two districts show who they can be.
- Faridabad has one of India's largest MSME clusters, about 12,015 units, mostly auto parts, sheet metal components and fabrication (2011-12 data).
- In Sonipat, The Tribune called the Kundli industrial estate a preferred industrial destination in January 2019.
Tractors, gloves and rakhis: what Haryana toy shops ask
Can the report show me the sports half and the toy half of the shop on one day?
Yes. Bats by age-size, gloves by the pair and balls are the sports items, and dolls and cars in the gift weeks are the toy half. Read a day's lines in the report and you see which half carried the day.
The trolley must match the tractor's colour and size. How do I find the right one?
Put the colour and the size in the name of each trolley, as you did for the tractor. The trolley whose name matches the tractor's is the one on the list, and its count tells you if it is in.
Can I see rakhi week on its own in the report?
Yes. The rakhi and the toy a boy gets in return are sold in the same week, so the week before Raksha Bandhan shows how much the rakhis and the gift toys sold together.
The school asks the boy for a paper showing the prize toy and the day it was bought. What do I give him?
Send the bill, with the toy's name and the day, to his parent's WhatsApp. The boy shows it to the teacher, who ticks it against the prize list.
A toy cluster in the making, and the Surajkund Diwali Mela
Haryana's Chief Minister said in April 2026 that the state will develop a toy industry cluster of 250 to 350 acres under its Industrial Policy 2026. A toy shop that buys from makers close to home can note each maker as a supplier and see whose pieces sell.
Haryana Tourism planned the third Surajkund Diwali Mela in Faridabad for 23 to 26 October 2026, with about 300 handicraft stalls, regional food and folk performances. A fair like that draws families out in the festival week, and a toy counter nearby sees it in the day's sales.
